Years later, Audrey and Julie were at the same gathering, Audrey confided " It should've been you, but I was just too afraid to say no". Jack Warner was a beast
Though I love to see both Leslie Caron and Fred Astaire in this film, Thelma Ritter is amazing here with her role of Alicia Pritchard.
Bravo muito bom.

Jesus Christ! Superstar!
Reminds me of my mom. She used to love to watch this movie. Miss her a lot!
My favourite film especially the blue foot
Tears. Dad loved this.
Yeh, a sweet and painful nostalgia. We had this record and I played it a lot as a kid. A real classic, one of the great American songs of the big band era. ❤
Julie Andrews sang “Without You” with more power in her voice.
The ending with her going back to him was disappointing, I'd have preferred to have seen the professor sitting alone in his house with the lights slowing dimming and the camera moving away from him emphasizing his solitude.
Simplemente genial esta joya musical de una era dorada en seguir gustando.
Yeh, a musical gem from a golden time. There's a world in this three and a-half minutes.
It’s no Tay Swift but it’s ok.
I had this on a reel tape when I was about 14 ,yeah I was a different kid
even sitting in the peacock chair that old Rex, old King.
Yea Donald Trump - The World Will still spin Without You !!
The world would've still spinned without Einstein but your life would be severely less comfortable.

Like this part nice ❣️
WGNJMN ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉Daddy on right.😢
such a shame Audrey didn't sing this , I wish she had.
There is a video on UA-cam with her vocals. Bloody well. They should have used her singing
Best trumpet player in history 👏
Why did that change her name from Judy (Judesha) Abbot to Julie Andre’ and it’s also a little weird that she has a Russian accent when she’s not Russian
How I wish that I was born in this beautifully nostalgic era of big bands, moonlight gardens like in this video….gliding across the dance floor with Mary Nash in my arms….
We all know her as Karen Fairgate MacKenzie
What a mercy that I can to be seen upon it.
I would have rather seen Jayne Mansfield instead of Leslie Caron for this film
That’s not in Cinemascope!!! And also I bet Daddy didn't just have his foot which was big, probably the rest too. It's Leslie's fault.
Astaire's acting was finer than most people think, as his wife died during filming---and he kept on going, sometimes in tears between scenes.
Superb! Back from the days when "music" was truly "Music"! Thank you for putting this online!
Boy, that’s fantastic. American culture was really approaching its zenith back in those days.
I HATED that she went back to him in this version. She doesn't in the original story. Topical romantic sop of that era of movies. Loved the film otherwise.
back then Hollywood they to be really successful you needed to know how to Dance , Sing and Act ,, a triple threat is what it was called
Such a wonderfully made and acted movie. Sensitive in nature, eloquent in timing and such a romantic film. Leslie Caron is my life long crush and is still beautiful and charming today.
What about CinemaScope TechniColor scales?
Higgins totally did it
I love daddy long legs but I want to see the whole movie
And that's how the film ended!
My fair lady is a comedy of manners. With a male narcissist and a sexist theme. Where is the romance? 😂😂😆😆every musical is not a romance 😄😄😄😄It is tiresome to see men and women make a hash out of natural emotions 😂😊😊
They made a song about saying you did it into something absolutely unforgettable. That's takes the true musical effort to get, and they did it!
Pickering: 1:54 "sike!"
That was just fucked up. Poor Eliza.
@@HarryPotter87 ....my best guess, plot related. Even Higgins felt out of place ignoring his project like that. It's not that it was disrespectful like one might think...simply just odd, unnatural.
Rudapest from Budapest!!
What fabulous music, I could listen to this forever!
The quintessential old Hollywood, the dress, the hair and those blue eyes 😢 My mother's favorite who just passed And I treasure the COVID year's were together 😂❤😊❤❤
Isso vem a confirmar que Julie Andrews era mais indicada para o papel .
Astaire always ' played down ' his talents. It shows me a modesty that has disappeared from hollywood
I occasionally watch the washroom scene where Finch sings it to himself. I would be struck by the irony that a conniver like him would see the eyes of a seeker of "wisdom and truth." I just now realized that she saw that in him, and told him very powerfully, and in his hour of crisis he looked deep into his soul and saw that, too. A great lesson in how to positively impact people.
Una orquesta y una cantante maravillosa. Gracias por estos momentos felices
